King Charles

The King Charles is a dwarf Spaniel coming from England. It was the favorite dog of Start dynasty. Marie Stuart, queen of Scotland, was accompagnied by her dogs when she was executed by Elisabeth the first. Charles II Stuart, King of England, was always accompagnied by lot of them, which was not liked by all courtiers.

In Walt Disney movie "Lady and the tramp", Lady is a Cavalier King Charles. The King Charles is a near cousin : a litttle smaller (10 to 16 pounds instead of 18 to 22) with a flat muzzle.



What temper ? It's told to be a cat-dog. Nothing to see with Egyptian mau that is told to be a dog-cat.
