Egyptian Mau pictures for a Project

I am looking for some good quality pictures of Mau’s of each known colour. It would be nice to see these cats sitting like the statues of Bastet.

je pense que la seul image que je pourrai usité c'est je croie celle de Vidora

Pour expliquer, je recherche un beau exemple de chaque couleur (les tiennes sont très bien mais avec le moins d'arriere plan possible,
c'est piur un un transfer pour un projet "oeuf style Fab" avec la statue de
Bastett (corps de femme à l'intérieur),
les transfer devant être comme "vitraux" il faudrait une picture avec le plus de chat possible sans trop de arriere plan ,
pas facile à expliquer!

Je pense que mon "avatar" serait bien, mais je ne retrouve pas l'original

a yes, celle là est super (silver)
twt aussi (si sans trop de fond ( a voila je croie que c'est le mot)

restera 2 autres quoi

en pensant bien, si je ne me limite pas à une position (chat statue demandé en 1er)
cela pourrait elargir le champ de recherche de photos super?!
du moment que j'ai le negatif il sera possible, et l'aide d'une bonne logicielle, de faire que les stranferts soient de la même taille!!!

regarde déjà les photos sur le site de l'aime http://aime.ws et sur celui de Fondcombe http://fondcombe.com. Il y en a beaucup et je pense que tu y trouveras ton bonheur. Et on trouveras même les propriétaires des chats !

Il n'y a que pour la couleur noire qu'il y a très peu de photos.

Je voudrais juste des photos de mon Djehout' et de ma Dedoun sur le Forum, tu sais que j'en serais honorée, bien sûr.
Je verse un peu dans le sentimentalisme, je sais, mais bon y' a pire comme défaut..

Après, promis pour Denderah et Djeme de BELENUS, j'essaierai d'être une bonne élève de le faire moi-même...

Well, thanks for the welcome and the comments! His name is Sinbad (sin + bad = tres mechant!!). His brother is called Napoleon, who has a bit of smoke, and a slightly darker colouring:

The color of Sinbad is very great: not too cold, not too hot = just perfect!!!

Happy to oblige! Most of my photos are of them asleep - they are only just one year old, and when they are awake they do not stay still for long enough to get good photos!

I see what you mean!!!! One could think the EM are only spending their life sleeping, which is definitly not the case, as one knows!!

As to the pictures for the project, what I'm looking for are EM in different colours in a sitting position like the Bastet cats or in the Sphinx position or even in a relax position but with a strong Noble statement in their look

Yes, happy to! They were born on 21st May 2008 at Chantina Cats in Suffolk, England: http://www.chantina.co.uk/ - Chantina specialise in bronze Maus, although they have silvers and smokes also. I am looking at their certified pedigree now, but I don't know what information to tell you - in the bloodline, going backwards, their parentage include sires and dams from Mauraj, Sharbees, Grantrill, etc...? To be honest, I just wanted some lovely Maus for pets.

I bought them after the brother of my other cat, Triftji, died suddenly when only 5 years old, as a companion for him - but I think I just wanted another cat...! I visited Chantina a couple of times, and it is a lovely and very well run cattery, with some very beautiful cats. My plan originally was just to buy one, but then the thought of separating two brothers made me take home two of them! Chantina Oliver (Sinbad) and Chantina Ozzi (Napoleon). You can always tell who Napoleon is, as he is darker and has short tail - apparently the mother accidentally bit off the end of his tail when he was tiny when grooming.

So I brought them home to London, and introduced them to Triftji - he ran away immediately! So I spent a difficult two months keeping them apart, slowly letting Triftji get used to their scent and become more inquisitive (although the kittens were very inquisitive, Triftji always ran away) - until one day I just opened the door to the garden, and all three ran out together and made friends! I took this picture on that very afternoon, after they had been running around together:



As you can see, there were no problems from then on.

They are outdoor cats, which I know many Mau owners and breeders disagree with. I was very clear with Chantina that this would be the case, and they felt this was the owner's decision, so that was good. One important reason I chose Maus (one of the MANY reasons!) is that they are afraid of strangers, and they run very fast! So I thought this would be good protection against anyone trying to steal them - and we don't really have a problem with people stealing cats here, and there are many gardens in the area and only one busy road.

Sorry for the long story, and filling up your forum! I'm sure you're all the same when talking about your own cats, sometimes you realise that you have talked too much...! Oh, and sorry for all the English - I speak some French (my mother is from Lausanne), maybe this is a good place for me to practice![quote]

here I think we prefere keeping our Maus indoor too, well, sort of , most of us have runs outside so they are spending most of their time out but in a run with easy access to the house, the best of both world really,
I would really suggest you come from time to time on the Fr section too there are some brilliant topics and officially you'll meet more people
do not worry about trying your french, many have the same problem with english and as your mum is from Lausane, you could also try FRANGLAIS it's fun, if you are stuck, there will always be someone to help you along,
in fact it could be a nice way to open ourself to new things !!!
